Locha
Logo Design | Visual Identity Design
Locha redefines the pickle experience with a playful, tangy, and cultural flair, offering bold, flavorful pickles that resonate with India’s rich culinary heritage. Designed for fun-loving, modern consumers, the brand blends traditional taste with a contemporary twist.
Locha goes beyond pickles, embodying the chaos and joy of its name through vibrant branding and bold flavors. The visual identity captures this essence with geometric shapes and colors inspired by cultural vibrancy and the tangy excitement of pickles.
The Concept
The client sought a playful, tangy, and culturally vibrant visual identity for Locha, a modern pickle brand. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s essence, I developed a logo that merges bold geometric forms with vibrant colors.
The design process began with word mapping, exploring themes of taste, emotion, and culture. The final logo cleverly incorporates abstract shapes to form the letters “L,” “O,” “C,” and “A,” symbolizing the dynamic chaos and joy synonymous with the name “Locha.”
Through the interplay of circular and angular forms, the design nods to Indian traditions while maintaining a modern and exciting appeal. The bold, hand-drawn typography complements the geometric mark, creating a visual identity that embodies the tangy, flavorful spirit of Locha.
Type & Color
The typography for the Locha brand combines playful energy with modern simplicity, perfectly mirroring the brand’s fun and culturally rich essence. The bold, expressive ‘Luckiest Guy’ typeface is used for headings and titles, evoking a sense of vibrancy and approachability, while the clean and versatile ‘Poppins’ typeface in various weights complements it for subheadings and body text.
This harmonious pairing reflects Locha’s dynamic character—playful yet rooted in tradition. The use of these fonts ensures clear readability and creates a friendly, engaging identity that resonates with its Indian-inspired, flavorful offerings.
